Sparkle Monday: A Gentle Way to Begin the Week

Mondays can feel hard for a lot of us. They mark the beginning of the week, and when our relaxing weekend is a thing of the past, everything starts moving again. That alone can feel heavy before the day even begins.

I want to offer a different way of approaching Mondays here.

Instead of something to push through, what if Monday could be a soft reset? A chance to arrive where you are, notice how you’re feeling, and begin again without pressure to do everything at once.

A Simple Art Journaling Invitation

If it feels supportive to you, take a few minutes today to create with the prompt below:

On a blank page, write the word Today or Monday somewhere on the page. Pause for a moment and notice how your body feels right now. Without trying to fix or change anything, choose colors, marks, or shapes that reflect your current energy.

You might add words or phrases that describe:

  • what you’re carrying into this week

  • what feels heavy

  • what feels supportive or steady

There’s no right way to do this. You don’t need to fill the page or make sense of it. Let the process be honest and simple.

A Moment of Reflection

When you’re finished, you might gently ask yourself:

  • How do I feel after creating?

  • What would help today feel a little lighter or more supported?

Sometimes the act of slowing down and creating is enough on its own. Sparkle Mondays are an invitation to begin the week with intention and care… no pressure, no perfection, just a place to be.
